Hypertension
Hypertension is a disease that causes elevated blood pressure. Fat cell buildup clogs or blocks blood vessels and can cause symptoms such as heartbeat irregularity, difficulty breathing, and chest pain among many other symptoms.
Like other conditions linked to obesity, hypertension is characterized by the unhealthy storage or build-up of fat cells in the bloodstream, which is often caused by overeating and the mass consumption of fatty foods. Hypertension can also be caused by the excessive use of alcohol and consumption of sodium-filled foods along with minimal physical activity.
Chronic hypertension can cause irreparable damage to some major organs in the body due to limited blood flow to the organs. Some diseases linked to hypertension are renal disease, stroke, myocardial infarction, and heart failure.
The simplest methods to avoid suffering from hypertension are:
- Exercising regularly.
- Eat healthier foods that are well-balanced and low in sodium.
